835 Electronic Remittance

Effective November 24, 2008, all BlueCross® BlueShield® of South Carolina and BlueChoice® HealthPlan providers who want to receive an Electronic Remit Advice and who currently do not receive ERAs or will be changing clearinghouses must complete the ERA Addendum. You will not need the BlueCross EDIG Trading Partner Enrollment form when only requesting 835 transactions for existing trading partners. The provider must complete and sign these ERA Addendum forms. You must mail the original signed form to the mailing address on the form. The process may take one to two weeks. We will not accept a faxed copy and we will not process the request if the forms are not completed correctly. If you have any questions, please call the Technology Support Center at 800-868-2505.
